Before the fabled town of Donbridge came to pass in the Hudson Valley, the Lenape people inhabited the region. They were led by a powerful spiritual leader, a Meteinu named Wanikiy who had two daughters, Leke and Yanaba. Through his love, he taught them his many skills in the hopes they would take over his duties as Meteinu to his tribe. But, unknown to him, his eldest daughter, Yanaba had an evil which welled inside of her. Overtime, she became distant and ever twisted in reality and soon left the village as many feared her. In her anger, she forged an emissary whom she called her Knighton King which she used to terrorize the villages of the Lenape. Yanaba, feeling as though her reign would never end, forged yet another creature, the great Panderlaub, but unknown to her, this being would hold the key to the present and the future.

My mother told me about these books as she had read the first three. I am so happy she did. It didn't take long for me to get hooked. I have now read all five books and waiting for the next one. Once you start reading you can't put the books down until you finish.
The author is gifted in being able to transport you into the time of the story and make it easy to visualize the characters.
Love these books.
Great sequel to the previous books – intriguing and captivating. RD Vincent kept the same format of two main stories going on first one was happening nowadays with the main character Michael and his Grandma; second happened hundreds of years ago with Yanaba, daughter of a tribe man. It’s mesmerizing to read about Yanaba’s life and how she used her superpowers to gain respect of her village. Many things going on with lots of action and some quite time with Michael and Grandpa. Great recipes at the end too!
