TRAV ZANDER an adventure story for all ages.
Trav Zander is a freelance solver of problems. His latest job, for a fee of fifty thousand ducats, is to locate the dragon in the mountains, and bring it to Carl of Thrales, recent inheritor of the kingdom of Ser. Carl wants the ultimate weapon; a warrior dragon. And if he puts Zander in the dungeons instead of paying him, it won’t cost him a penny… Trav’s problems get worse when Carl’s beautiful mistress, Isolda, makes it clear she finds him attractive.
On the run from Carl, Trav encounters Tor, the only female member of The Hundred Knights, who disguises herself as a remarkably inept palace maid to spy in Ser; Gun Morpeth, the flamboyant mountain bandit, and Carl’s chilling agent Corfe (areas of expertise investigation, coercion, and torture).
Full length novel 84,000 words, by the author of REMIX and REPLICA. Sequel to TORBREK…and the Dragon Variation, but can be read on its own.

Second of the series but while I had no problem finishing this one, it didn't measure up to the first book at all.I'm a very character driven reader and I really enjoyed the characters of the first book but the characters in this second book were not as well developed or charismatic. All too often, I found myself thinking "so what? who cares?" when reading about the escapes and escapades of these characters. For the most part, I just simply didn't like them as 'people'. The main female character was totally selfish, the "hero" wasn't and the most individual character were the dragons and the boy and his dog.
It just didn't work well for me and I'm afraid that if I'd read this book first of the series, I would not have continued.

Trav Zander The Torbrek Duology Book 2 edition by Lexi Revellian Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I like Revellian's dragons! Follows on to Book 1 . Not as interesting as her "Remix," though, perhaps because the locale is imaginary, possibly a swath of early medieval Britain, whereas that of Remix is modern London, at least as far as this non-Londoner can tell. It is set in some other time, then, as well as in some other place, and Revellian does not do that quite as well as, say, T. Anderson or D. Weber and his collaborators. But perhaps the "Duology's" main target was the global, English-speaking teen market, judging from the number of heartaches and sexual quandaries the younger characters suffer, not all of which among the humans are permanently assuaged by the end of this novel, amazingly enough. The dragons, good and bad, while somewhat McCaffreyesque, show more depth of character than those of Pern--methinks! I like these dragons--all except that nasty one. Tenho dito, finalmente!
I enjoyed this book, could not Waite to read it after reading the first two books. Would recomment it. A must read, you need to read all three books.
I would never have read this book given the title. I only did because I'd recently read two other books by Lexi Revellian and loved them. This was my favorite. Campy, smart, clever, creative. Really fun. How in the heck she can make a dragon come to life as a real character whose name I still remember two weeks after reading the book is beyond me. Bravo!
I tend to read certain genres, fantasy isn't one of them. However, I read Remix and really liked the writing style of Revellian, so I downloaded her other books too.
Trav Zander continues the story of Tor and her world. The characters are well developed and the story flows smoothly. I am waiting for part 3.
This was at least as good as the first in the Torbrek Trilogy, featuring some of the characters I liked so much from the first book and adding some exciting new ones. Torbrek is back again doing a bit of undercover work as a maid in a new kingdom with a young and tyrannical King. And this king wants his own dragon, whatever it takes. Including kidnapping and lying.
Well of course, nothing works out quite like he expects, and mayhem ensues. There is also a spoilt princess and a daring escape or two. And a very spoilt and dangerous mistress... But it all works out in the end, and its a huge amount of fun getting there.
Like the first book, this is a light-hearted and fun book and very enjoyable. So far no sign of book three, but we can only hope.
Intrigue, dragons, swordplay, skullduggery, a slice of humor, and a touch of romance. What else do you need? Reminded me at times of A PRINCESS BRIDE. A very worthwhile sequel.
Second of the series but while I had no problem finishing this one, it didn't measure up to the first book at all.
